Sport: Ball Game
Sport dog collars   (+5, -2)  [vote for, against]
Stop barking and start playing!

Bus drivers in parts of England at one time had ropes connected to their arms as they were driving. Passengers would pull on the rope if they wanted the bus driver to turn left, etc.

The idea is for players in any sport to have "dog collars" with mild electric shocks on both arms and both legs. The coach, or possibly the fans would have the ability to send a shock to individual player's arms and legs, to signal some instantaneous strategy.

This idea started with the idea that all fans in a stadium should be issued water guns to engage players who are running the gauntlet...

Maybe everyone should be fitted with these devices, all networked and individually addressable. That way anyone could send shocks to control the action of anyone else. Maybe there could be spot-price-bidding so that the more desirable individuals cost more to send instructions to.
