Is your USB wireless receiver plugged in, but is your wireless mouse missing? This wireless mouse will make a squeaking sound upon command from the PC via a keyboard shortcut. It will be equivalent to calling your lost mobile from your landline phone. Lost your keyboard? Then the mooing keyboard will... etc., etc.

Why not have an electronic "cat", programmed to find the "mouse", then bring it back to you half-dead, drop it at your feet, then play with it in a cruel and disdainful way until it expires ?

make it sound realistic enough and in the middle of the night when your half-asleep doing an assignment due the next morning (not that I do that) and you'll wake up with a surprise the next day...
