Sticky Paper Towels   (+1)  [vote for, against]
Stick 'em and save a mess.

Paper towels with a light adhesive strip across one edge similar to the super-popular sticky note. Dispensed from their holder, they unfold in the classic "zig-zag" accordion fassion from their reuseable, refillable container. Impending mess? Just grap, stick, and don't worry. Need a quick mess cleaned up? Simply crease vertically and stick the adhesive to itself, and wipe away confident that your now 2-ply paper towel is stronger and more absorbant. Infants on solid foods yet? The Sticky Towels act as press-on bibs. Layer the towels for greater effect, or stick them to the floor for an easy clean-up drop cloth.

+1 for the bibs...if it stuck to baby's chin - even better!

I wouldn't like to think of what might happen to someone using these as emergency toilet paper without being very careful about which is the sticky side.

Ok ... just to clear up the "unfold in the classic 'zig-zag' accordion fassion" fiasco, I linked to one of the popular refillable dispensers.

Hope you can make a buck from this idea. Another wrinkle would be to use the sticky surface to remove hair, lint etc. from clothing or to pick up powder, hair etc. from a surface that you don't want to wet. I'm sure many uses will come up. It may be necessary to dispense the towels in a way different from the postit pads. Postit paper is fairly strong and not very elastic. Therefore it can be peeled away with the strength of the sheet working at the glue bond in a small area. With something as flimsy as a paper towel the glue bond for a large area may have to be broken all at once. If breaking this bond takes too much force the towel will rip. At the same time you want the product to be at least as sticky as a postit. Peeling the sheets off only along the narrow dimension of the glue should work.
