Superball Collectors!   (+1, -2)  [vote for, against]
Much better than lame cards.

Kids collect Pokemons, YugiOhs and similar cards. Games are are created for these cards to justify their collection. These games rely on artificial attributes of the cards. The cards are lame pieces of cardboard with no intrisic value. The same thing happened with Pogs, although arguably this was a real game.

How much better this would be with Superballs! Not only are they inherently cool and beautiful, one could modify the various balls to actually possess different qualities. I envision contests of high bouncing, superball launching devices with which one could put spin and speed on a rolling ball, etc etc.

One could collect, trade and hold contests with their Superballs. It would appeal to boys and girls of all ages. Also these balls could be worn - please see separate Superball Shoe idea.

I used to have a massive superball collection. Then I stopped buying, and one by one they got lent out to friends and lost. I found a bunch when I cleaned my room, though.

Utilize large maounts of adhesive and superballs to make a the Giant Superball Pyramid of Texas. Or Britain. Or Australia.

Marbles.

Collected. Traded. Contests held. Possess different qualities. Inherently cool and beautiful.

Right with you [Consul].

Throwing a superball into a shower stall is always good fun.
-- FarmerJohn, Mar 01 2005

Assuming as I was that superballs were already collected, I thought that the idea would be for top trump style trading cards featuring the likness and stats on a variety of well known Collectors of Superballs, including Wee Rab McGlinchy from Tower Road and yon Stella Lamont whose dad's a binman.

Someone needs to invent a superball run along the same venue as the marble runs. Have calibrated bounce angles and such.

Drat, I don't get the soap jokes either. I've seen them like twice on the 'bakery.

Rectum? Damn near killed'em.

Ok, Ok {Brau] - I used Superball in the generic, "Kleenex" sense. Granted the original superballs are not that spectacular. [BUNGCO] would license the same and make an assortment of similarly sized balls of different composition and call the superballs, to develop the collecting and trading thing. Superballs just sounds better than Rubber balls.
-- bungston, Mar 05 2005

[Brau] - yes, that sounds like what I was thinking of. Those things bounce pretty well too.
