Taco Clips   (+8)  [vote for, against]
So they don't fall over

This is a small edible piece of a crisp-fried corn tortilla. It is u-shaped like a money clip and is slid down onto each top half of adjacent taco shells. This is so that your two (or more) tacos can stand upright and they don't fall over when ingredients are applied, cooked in oven etc.

These are widely baked, no money clips necessary. [DrCurry, Sep 19 2012]

Basically like mini hard taco shells. Congratulations you have just saved the world.

Why not an "M" shaped tortilla stand to hold individual tacos?
-- DIYMatt, Sep 18 2012

That exists.

Aside from the fact that we already have Flat bottomed Tacos...

I just thought, using old style curved tacos, it would be possible to lay two and use another taco (rather than an unnecessary and possibly unhygienic money) to create a sort of infinite ripple of tacos.

I think we can call that 100% Baked.

Yes, but with this idea we can save on taco shell cost. Taco shell expenses are not trivial. That would take two packs of tacos not one.

Baked implies I've created the same thing. Not solved the same problem. They still sell round bottom shells and they still fall over. One problem woth flat taco shells is that they break at the corners when you squeeze at the top.

(edit)You may have meant an infinity as the hundred percent, not that my idea is baked one hundred percent. If so, I'm retarded.

[PainO] that's a really neat idea. You could make a big-ass tray of those and really overstuff them; use the extras for the overflow.

Yeah your idea isn't baked in the 1/2B sense. Real cute factor if it looked like a mini taco shell though. Or make the clip in the shape of two spoons joined at the base then you could break it apart for scooping upthe fallouts.

The moldy tomato [DrCurry] threw in here before he ran away is pretty good because it shows inventive process.
