The Brideman Movie   (+1)  [vote for, against]

> In contemporary western culture a bridesman is a male friend of the bride, one who walks down the aisle in the bridal ceremony in the traditional place of a bridesmaid.

- Wikipedia

----

A few days before the wedding ceremony, the bride is with her friends and the brideman on the a foreign country. The groom is also with his groom-woman and other friends at a different location.

As usual, the bride's party gets attack by "war/cartel/kidnappers/etc...".

But the brideman and the groom-woman are ex CIA/SWAT/SEAL/etc... and they be dammned if they would let the wedding get cancelled over this little event. And worse, there is a communication black out!

Thus a sequence of escape/evasion/gunfights is done by the brideman to get the bride to safety.

The groom-woman also has a plan of interdiction/sniping/ballkicking in the hunt for the missing bride.

And thus is all for getting the groom and the bride, back just in time for the wedding.

Hey and maybe the brideman and the groom-woman might be able to meet eachother!

A sort of road trip/ rom-com/ action/ odd couple movie? There should be sports, sci-fi and magic/fantasy angles too, to catch as many movie-going demographics as possible.

Were you thinking of Schwarzenegger, Stallone, Van Damme, Snipes, Willis or Crowe for the brideman?

I'm for it if they wear a pink suit - like camp Freddie in the Italian Job.

Don't forget about LIAM NEESON, especial if there is a kidnapping going on.

I would certainly like to see him act as the brideman in this move... though surely he must be sick of being typecasted by now.

Did you mean "best woman"?

Does she have to be ex-military, too? It might be better to go for some other hackneyed cliché instead.
Then you could have a comedy interval at the stag do, at least.
