Thong Pinky Guard-Rail   (+12)  [vote for, against]
To keep your pinky toes from slipping over the edge of your flip flop, falling under the shoe, and getting crushed by the rest of your foot

Just a ridge placed on the edge of your flip flop around where the pinky toe would be.

This IS a serious problem.

Someone got finger-toes!?
-- Jinbish, Jun 10 2006

Would a prehensile pinky toe be of any evolutionary advantage?
-- reensure, Jun 11 2006

if you could persuade it sprout a large enough bunion, this would never be a problem in the first place... still I like the idea and the title - so have a wee bun+

What an innocent idea. I must have a dirty mind.
-- wagster, Jun 11 2006

all those with dirty minds vote +

all those that just think "ouch" vote +

all those with funny little toes that curl under and do not present a problem just go "yawn" and retire.

I just realised that my little curly toes are quite sweet.

I, for one, would love to see a video of this self-toe stomping in action. LOL

Also, here in the States, a "thong" is primarily underwear or swimwear that runs up the buttcrack, so the title of this post alone made me laugh. Bun (because your thong wont cover it).

Ah, if only the idea had delivered what the title promised!

Some days you're the bug. Some days you're the windshield. Clicking on ideas around here is like that sometimes.

Uh...I live in the 'states', or one of them, at least.

Birkenstocks (a brand of sandal traditionally associated with hippies) have a sort of moulded sole that has a ridge around the edge.
