Topologically-Correct Donut Hole   (+3)  [vote for, against]
"Mmmmm...infinite donut..."

A (presumably spherical?), infinite ball of dough that extends in all applicable spacial, temporal, and theoretical dimensions, with a torus-shaped void captured.

As there is only one of them, I recommend saving it for Fat Tuesday, and letting Homer help you finish it.

Why is the dough infinite?

What happens to the bits of sugar that fall off the outside?
-- pocmloc, Mar 31 2014

Because (presumably) there is no boundary to the hole in the middle of a toroidal doughnut.

//the bits of sugar that fall off the outside //

There is no "outside", only a finite "inside", so any sugar that falls off ends up somewhere else on the same surface.

Please, do try to keep up.

Will it help me finally understand what the cyclic integral in contour integration means?
-- pashute, Apr 01 2014

Ah that almost makes sense.
