The house is getting too small...

It's a full-scale invasion. Twins expected early next year. That'll bump us from a family of 3 to 5. RayfordSteele Jr. will be 18 months then.

Heaven help us. Did I mention that the house only has 2 bedrooms and is underwater on the mortgage? New accommodations or renovations desperately needed.

Name ideas are also a sticking point thus far...

Congratulations all around.

How about palindromic names? Iain and nial, or anne and enna...

Twins, what grand news. Yay.

I suppose "Bun" and "Fishbone" are not options?
-- MaxwellBuchanan, Jul 05 2013

That 'is' good news. Congratulations!

double trouble - congrats...

Surely you are not overlooking "Remington" and "Bethlehem", especially if the twins are fraternal rather than identical?

Similarly, if you'd like to continue on an automotive theme (as with ray-FORD), Dodge, Chrysler, and Buick all make fine names. At least, my German shorthaired pointers all seemed to like them.

Congratulations!

Stainless and Chromium.

The greatest thing about twins is that whenever it's *not* your turn to change the baby's diaper, it's your turn to change the other one.

From experience: keep a diary. Your brain can't remember it all. (Or won't; it may be a survival thing.)

There's a gal in the wife's mom's facebook group who named her twins Steele and Sterling.

I've just poured over listings of the top 1000 popular names for both sexes, and I worry for the next generation.

Yes - whatever you've poured over the listings will make it difficult for the next generation to read.

Thank you, m'lud. I very nearly said something regrettable* until you slipped in and defused the situation with your famous dry wit.

* or 'typed something regrettable', pedanticularly speaking**

// your famous dry wit.// Ah yes. One of my former bosses once called me a shining wit. Mind you, he also described himself as a binocular myologist.

Shiny things can be very dry; dry things, however, are almost never shining.

Update: Only 1 if by land. :-( The other invader turned tail and fled.
-- RayfordSteele, Jul 09 2013

Mayhap 'twere a signalling error, perhaps a reflection to double the lights in the Old North Church?

But if it were real and a loss, my heartfelt condolences and support.
-- lurch, Jul 09 2013

Better days to come, Rayford. We all share in your disappointment, but continue to be happy in your blessing.

Hanzō and Damascus!

Congratulations!

//Heaven help us. Did I mention that the house only has 2 bedrooms//

Have you considered adoption? If you can get yourself adopted by a wealthy couple, you're set.
-- MaxwellBuchanan, Jul 09 2013

I hear the Buchanans have plenty of space. No signalling error. Baby B was about a week younger than Baby A at one measurement. In such a complicated, buggy product development process, it seems that quality control has their hands full.

Are they identical twins ?
