Vacuum Splint, Ski Apparel   (0)  [vote for, against]
Immobilize an injured limb at the push of a button.

By wearing our vacuum splint, ski pants or ski jacket you are assured of quick self-splinting of a broken leg or arm with the least amount of pain. When a tumble on the slopes leads to a fracture, be prepared with the best possible support.

The Gore-Tex jacket and pants are lined with pockets of vinyl-coated nylon, molded around the extremities, but pliant enough for active skiing. When the casualty has adopted a position that causes the least pain, the correct button is pressed. A compact, battery-powered, vacuum pump evacuates the correct pockets, forming a snug, vacuum splint within two minutes.

Equip yourself with glamorous ski or baggy snowboarder, first aid fashion to prop up aching bones until qualified help arrives.

position of least pain may not be the best anatomically correct position?

po: As long as its only until you roll yourself down the mountain, it couldn't do that much harm. I think this would be fun just to play with.

The use of traction by inexperienced first-aiders has been discouraged lately. Who else can judge the best temporary position?
