Walking Game   (+1, -5)  [vote for, against]
Because driving games just aren't enough.

I would like a game that involves walking. That's the point of the game. Levels would include streets and schools and malls and such. The characters could have different walking attributes (speed, agility, relative weight, etc.) Multiplayer options could include capture the flag, race, shopping spree( pick up items in a supermarket) etc.

Sonic R http://www.segalife...?display=148&type=1
Running game, rather than walking, but close? [pottedstu]

Silly Walks http://www.montypyt...ripts/silywalk.php3
I'm afraid that the Ministry of Silly Walks is no longer getting the kind of support it needs. [pottedstu, Feb 05 2002, last modified Oct 21 2004]

The Waterloo Bridge Handicap http://members.nets...r/Film.htm#Waterloo
Short film starring Leonard Rossiter in which a small group of commuters attempt to be the first person across Waterloo Bridge each morning without breaking into a run. [DrBob, Feb 07 2002, last modified Oct 21 2004]

Eh? Isn't this just a platform game? Something like Super Mario 64 or Crash Bandicoot or Tomb Raider? They tend to involve more running than walking, true, but you can go slow if you want. Or there are racing games like Sonic R where you run rather than drive.

The goal is to see which participant falls asleep at the joystick first.

If you could somehow get Monty Python involved...

or the Spanish Inquisition

Well I like this idea. It reminds me of The Waterloo Bridge Handicap (see link). It would be best done like some of the athletics games on the consoles, with frenzied bashing on the controller to make your character walk faster - but with the added twist that if you go too fast (i.e. beak into a run), you have to go back to the start again.

Where does this end...? the "Going to Work Game", the "Watching TV Game"? Salmon, get out of the house man, before you grow into your chair and someone wakes you up in 2050.
