Zoom Zoom   (+2, -2)  [vote for, against]
zoom on a plane

Zoom Zoom is the name given to the idea of using an aircraft's seat facing entertainment screens for the purposes of internal zoom communication with other passengers.

This means you don't have to worry about moving about to talk to members of any group you're travelling with, or not being able to sit beside friends or family.

So many Facetime-like options we can repurpose and implement immediately. [+]

Sadly, it seems we have fewer flights due to Covid, and likely far fewer due to <economic, infrastructure, environmental> collapse in general. Perhaps Elon can use this idea on his rocket trips.

Come to think of it, we could create this for cars stuck in traffic. Cannibalize airplanes, use seatback systems in car construction, input plate number to chat with passengers in nearby cars. Not allowed for drivers, so as to avoid exponential road rage.

PS Did anyone else experience the title trigger the 'Zoom Zoom Zooma Zoom' jingle?

// not being able to sit beside ... family. //

Worh paying extra for, that... like having them sit in a different section of the cabin, or indeed on a completely different aircraft.

Apologies - it's a bit practical and not halfbaked at all really. I have a long list of useful stuff that I won't post. This one slipped through the net. I'll probably delete in a few days.....then watch as it ends up being available on one of your next flights.

The Corvids are still flying.

That's nothing to crow about. The last thing anyone wants is you to go raven on and on about a mynah issue like that.
