As for spiderweb, it seems terribly unsanitary.

selo-tape?
-- edski, Feb 09 2001

I agree with centauri about the spiderweb. Just imagine the things those dirty spiders have been doing in there. You'd have to get it thoroughly laundered first.
Incidentally, why should band-aids (we call them plasters in the UK) be skin-coloured at all? Why not bright red or lime green? Turn a simple cut into a multi-coloured celebration of life.

I can't find anything about it, but that was baked for a while...Bandaids of various sorts that looked like decals or temporary tattoos.
-- StarChaser, Feb 11 2001

I like my Garfield band-aids. They make me smile. I could go for purple, teal, lime green, and lunar blue too!
-- Susen, Feb 11 2001

There are transparent bandaids available anywhere. Wound Glue and Second Skin are the latest products...they serve as a transparent, highly effective wound closure or cover; again, available in most drugstores.
-- JillMaria, Feb 23 2001

thats a much better idea. i would buy them right now.

I have Batman-logo patterned skin. Oh where ever, where ever, shall I find band aids to hide my boo boos?

Whew. Thank God for corporate licensing partnerships.

why not mood color band aids?
-- smok44, Jan 22 2004

I've used spiderweb on minor wounds while camping - no big deal, except for the challenge of finding enough silk to do the job....
-- normzone, Jan 22 2004

Solution = transparent bandaids.
-- TerranFury, Jan 22 2004

Starchaser: Haven't you seen tattoo ones that have tigers and other cool designs on them? I see them all over! My personal favorite is tie-dye!
-- spacecadet, Jan 22 2004

This was really done back in the 1970s. I can't find it on the web, but there was "Pride" brand band-aids, which were brown and had a picture of an african-american kid on the box, looking confident.
-- jcatkeson, Jan 23 2004

I don't know ANYONE with skin the colour of a "normal" (i.e. pinky-browny) sticking plaster.
-- ivanhoe, Jan 23 2004

I think there should be some black, darker tan, yellowy and redish bandaids in the mix. The bandaids are that color so they don't stand out and get noticed.

The thing I don't like about the "Second Skin" translucent stuff is that you can still see the open wound. If it is bigger than pencil end it looks rather grotesque....an open shiney, wet looking wound...yuck.

And I don't think [gnormal] was speaking about other designs for band-aids or plasters, Just different skin tone colors with NO design; to blend in.

Why not just make the bandage out of the skin of a chameleon? Then it will automatically change colour to match the skin beneth.
