bluetooth special offers

When I'm out pubbing, I always seem to find out the special drink promotions somewhere towards the end of the night, or never at all.

This is cause, we rarely read the awkwardly placed A4 sized dusty blackboards.

A simple method of reaching everyone in the bar is to get their direct attention. Simply done by sending bluetooth messages to mobile phones informing of whats on offer.

Easily done. computer + dongle = Kronenbourg @ £2.25 all night (or whatever)

Would be an effective tool in shifting inventory.

Would this cause a mad rush to the bar?

You've never tried asking the barman/girl what their specials for the evening are?

Beef up your transmitter and send messages to the patrons of the bar next door!

Think some places already do this...i know Fat Sams in Dundee tried it for advertising different club nights with varying success.
