Early-detection of silicone implants

I can't stand the damn things, so I envision a device which rests in your shirt pocket and is at the ready when you need to know the truth. Let's say you've met somebody in a nightclub. You give a human subject an embrace, and the device does a quick ultasound scan of the subject's bosom area, then a small display indicates either "normal" or "fake". I haven't figured out how to remotely detect the saline types yet, but I believe the silicone types are easily detected with ultrasound.

I've got two breast implant detectors already. One on each arm.

[Mumu] - I think you could develop your own echosounder location abilities with a little practice. Loud, high pitched sounds rebound differently from an implant than from a normal human breast. This has the advantage of being done at a distance, so you need not run the risk of approaching an implant. I suggest you make some facsimile implants, mount them on a mannikin across the room, then practice different loud, high pitched sounds until you hit the frequency that sounds different on the rebound. You could surreptitiously practice this in a bar or coffeeshop as well.

// I can't stand the damn things //

That seems an odd thing to say, considering you are unable to determine their presence, and need a device to tell you. What, you just hate the idea of them?
-- waugsqueke, Aug 19 2003

I agree with waugs. If you can't tell then why do you care? -
-- mrthingy, Aug 20 2003

<sigh> what waugs said. <signed a human subject>
-- po, Aug 20 2003

I read this as "breast implant compactor". Which I guess just might be the same thing. But what waugs and po said. And UnaBubba, for that matter.

Yeah, and [Curry], too...
-- k_sra, Aug 20 2003

I feel so left out.
-- bungston, Aug 20 2003

since saltwater is heavier than water and fat is lighter then it might be possible to do some hot tub research comparing breast bouyancy
-- davidcreede, Aug 20 2003

what bung said.
-- po, Aug 21 2003

What [thumbwax] would say if he read this.
-- angel, Aug 21 2003

*blushes* flattery will get you everywhere.

Since one tit-head after another showed up for summer break, I stopped titting around, as it was a tit boring seeing titchy-brained ideas go tits-up.
-- thumbwax, Aug 21 2003

*would* you have said that, angel?
-- po, Aug 21 2003

Maybe not in those *exact* words.
-- angel, Aug 21 2003

Well, if I hadn't said that, I'd have said what DeathNinja said. Me think DeathNinja funny.
-- thumbwax, Aug 21 2003

Mmmm, tatas
-- DeathNinja, Aug 21 2003

What [bungston] said.

what I thought but on consideration kept my big mouth shut.
-- po, Aug 22 2003

What [I shoulda] said.
-- k_sra, Aug 22 2003

What [Pericles] won't say because she thinks everyone's entitled to do whatever they please with the package God put them in.

<feeling [bigsleep]'s new breasts> Are you sure these are due to the hormone treatment and not to overeating and lack of exercise? </f[bg]'snb>
-- methinksnot, Apr 04 2006

I'll still respect you in the morning [biggie].
