Multiple active mouse cursors

If you plug in > 1 mouse, you may choose to have more than one active cursor. If you constantly click between two distant areas on screen, this may help.

X Server with multiple pointer and focus support [Srimech, Apr 28 2009]

The problem you need to address is the redesign of window managers to use more than one mouse pointer. The majority work on the assumption that there is only one, and I think changing this would be a massive undertaking.

[edit] - sorry, looks like it has been done, for X at least (see link)

Ever used GlovePIE? One of the many things it can do is support up to 10 (I think) mouse pointers. It's a really good program actually, you can control them either by plugging more mice in, or by writing scripts to control them with other devices, like joysticks, wii controllers, keyboard buttons, etc.

Didn't the Commodore Amiga display two pointers if you plugged in two mice?
