radio controlled boat sushi   (+7)  [vote for, against]
competitive sushi

Sushi comes on little boats, floating in pool of water in front of customers. Each boat is radio-controlled, and each customer has a controller. Customers compete for food.

Dodgem sushi! Sounds like fun.
-- brenna, Mar 12 2003

I think it sounds like fun. How do you tell your controller which sushi boat you want to control? Don't the sushi boats get annoyingly unresponsive when multiple controllers are trying to talk to them? Or does each person have a marked tugboat, which is sent out to corral sushi barges?

And if you see a guy at the end of the counter eating a large, tasty sandwich, perhaps made from a baguette or similar - he's the one with a remote-controlled sub.

// remote-controlled sub //

<GROAN>

In some countries they train comorants to catch fish. You could try the same thing here, although I fancy it might prove a bit Aukward.

What was that James Bond film where the baddie had the boat that swallowed another boat? - that's the boat I want.

Mini torpedoes – just fling the food your way.

Sounds like mud-wrestling sushi to me.

The sushi could be in treasure chests, on pirate ships. Customers would have to raid and/or salvage the sushi booty.
