The delayed quantum choice eraser causes things to happen previous to observations. Create a laser path that traces out a hypercube, then change the edge lengths to find out what happens. That is physcially change the distance between the mirrors, effecting the transit time of the photons. Does it extend farther, or differently at retrocausal time?
This might address the pesky thing of "where is it" because of the combination of a time machine with a rotating planet.

I could tell Bean was excited about whatever this trombone things was. Even if I was lost after the third word, it's excitement was contagious - sort of like a funny cat hyping out about something invisible.
