shock sensor for headgear   (+3)  [vote for, against]

shock sensors and pressure sensors imbedded into headgear could be used to assess damage during sports.

For boxers it would add interest to know percisely how hard a punch was. but also with sports in general a record of how much foce was applied and how much the head moved might be useful to doctors in assessing the trauma.
