vibewall   (+6)  [vote for, against]
A panel that vibrates when lent against

A topologically altered palm sander that switches on with a pressure switch. The form would be a large flat pannel that fixes to a wall. The sand paper would be replaced by changeable rubber textures to suit the level of massage. Of course, the vibewall would be powered by the nearest power socket.

Hopefully, once worked out by your feline or canine, your affectionate touch can continue even if at work or away.

I prefer the sandpaper.

+ for the sentiment. (oh yeah, needs a new name. This one sounds perverted.)
-- blissmiss, Oct 05 2011

//This one sounds perverted//

Someone's got their mime in the gutter. I leave for a few months, and bliss turns into a pervert?

Has 8th started liking cats?

Is 21Q now genuinely concerned for other people's feelings?

Is vernon posting clear and concise ideas?

What the hell is going on here!?!?!
-- MikeD, Oct 05 2011

Everyone has switched accounts with a different halfbaker to see if we can peg each other from text alone.
You didn't get the memo?
-- 2 fries shy of a happy meal, Oct 05 2011

I was always a closet pervert.
-- blissmiss, Oct 05 2011

Ah, l'armoire.
-- jutta, Oct 05 2011

egnor yuck boring. Oh crap, I just gave myself away...
-- RayfordSteele, Oct 05 2011

// What the hell is going on here!?!?! //

The lunatics have taken over the asylum. But then, you knew that, didn't you ?

By the way, it's your turn to be [Vernon] this week.

Aren't cats lovely ?

// Is 21Q now genuinely concerned for other people's feelings ? //

No, and none of the other fundamental laws of Physics have changed either.

// I was always a closet pervert. //

You're not in the closet if everyone already knows, [blissy].

I'm dubious about the effectivity of this product. Dogs are smart enough to tell the difference between genuine human contact and a device meant to vaguely simulate it, and cats have no trouble finding non-vibrating surfaces and objects to defile while we're away, so why should we deliberately give them something complicated and expensive to soak with urine?
-- Alterother, Oct 05 2011

Because it offers an unparalleled opportunity to introduce a substantial amount of electrical energy into their bodies via the urine stream ?
-- 8th of 7, Oct 05 2011

Good point, I missed that.

(for the record, I do not share [8th]'s hatred of cats. There are just things I like more than cats.)
-- Alterother, Oct 05 2011

//Is 21Q now genuinely concerned for other people's feelings?// Well, there was this idea about bullying...
-- DIYMatt, Oct 05 2011

And we all saw how well that went...
-- Alterother, Oct 05 2011

//it's your turn to be [Vernon] this week//

I was actually going to post a Vernonesque Idea as a parody. I started making a tentative plan of action to post a long-winded, extremely technical idea spawned from a thoroughly half-researched, scientific subject whose proposed function would take the world of physical science to levels never before realized...

However, I lack the determination to see such a project through.
