Hi. I'm Tim, and I'm a professional writer, editor and game designer. I'm currently working on a thriller novel and a non-fiction commission for a London publisher, and I'm hiding in Dubai while I do it. Over the years, I've worked in a huge range of word-related capacities, edited more than 80 books, and had seventy-five of my own published. One or two of them are actually alright.

I'm friendly, chatty, intelligent and open-minded, but I'm also very sceptical about institutions -- political, religious, corporate, the media, whatever -- and not much inclined to think what people tell me to. Consequently, I have a rather black sense of humour.
