Brussell sprouts for tasteless ideas.

Was an idea tasteless? Don't give it a fishbone, give it some brussel sprouts!

against]

Halfbakery.com users, when voting against an idea, would give the idea the dead carp if the idea was just stupid or silly, and some brussell sprouts if the idea was voted against because it was tasteless and/or offensive to most societal palates.

Offensive, maybe, an acquired taste certainly, but Brussels sprouts are most assuredly *not* tasteless.

Besides, does anyone here want to vote against an idea simply because it is tasteless? Have another fishbone.

Isn't this what the [mfd] category "gross-out humor" is for?
krelnik, Sep 30 2003

This is a cute idea: Instead of the mandatory fishbone or croissant, there could be a whole "menu" of food products you could give someone.

Hence, "Kill all people with a cold" might receive 5 fishbones, 10 brussels sprouts, 2 livers, and a poison mushroom.

But "HullaBalloon" might receive 20 croissants (back to basics!), 10 cupcakes with chocolate frosting, 3 candy corns, and a lollipop.

I vote we replace croissants with magic mushrooms!
DrCurry, Sep 30 2003

       how many l's in brussels?

       bubble n'squeak anyone?

A spinning, sprout sauté bike, bliss?
FarmerJohn, Sep 30 2003

If we're trying to represent tasteless, perhaps tofu would work. That being said, have a good old fashioned fish bone.
Worldgineer, Sep 30 2003

       Sprouts are in season!
bungston, Sep 30 2003

Yeah, I almost got some the other day. Just might do that with blissy's tip'o'th'day.
thumbwax, Sep 30 2003

If only the brussell sprout street vendor would visit.
Worldgineer, Sep 30 2003

Seems like they're only selling cauliflower these days. Oh well...

Because fishbones just taste too good.

Now, tofu for tasteless ideas I could see.

Sprouts carry a pretty substantial risk of both salmonella and e coli. At least raw, they do.

       Besides, they taste like dirt.
bristolz, Oct 01 2003

The best thing about autumn is the return of the sprout. Anybody know if they still do that sprout cottage pie at that veggie place on Neal St. (London). mmmmm

       How about water?
phundug, Oct 01 2003

Why do we want to represent 'tasteless' at all?

No kidding. Even Brussels Sprout, which grow from several inches to a couple feet off the ground?
oxen crossing, Oct 01 2003

I think the author has found a way to turn brussel sprout recipies into fishbones...
Detly, Oct 01 2003

This is worse than going into one of those "Themed" bars and standing in front of the restrooms trying to figure out if you're a "Squid" or a "Halibut."

       Have a tofu.
