Cool idea, I'd be surprised if it isn't baked or halfbaked already. I've seen valve-stem lights that are motion-activated and they pretty much light the whole rim. I picked up a couple for my bicycle, so I don't feel as vulnerable at night. They work even better on cars, and they already work quite well. |

Brightly colored bicycle and car tires exist and there are bicycle tires with reflective strips, but I've never heard of phosphorescent tires. |

Now if we could just get all these pesky pedestrians to stop dressing in black at night... |

As a sideline product, jogging shoes could be made from the same material and 'glow' after dark, not needing 'reflector' tape sewn onto them. You could see your kids, self, or stalker in the dark, without aid of any light. |

However, looking at your own feet while jogging in the dark could be disaster waiting. |

did anyone see that US cop show, where the cops are looking for an armed robber, who did over a 7 11, and its at night, but as he runs away his sneakers blink every time his feet hit the ground, i imagine the paperwork wasnt all that hard |
