A pair of spectacles; lower part of frame is timber, top part is wattle and daub. Side pieces are wicker or thatch, made from twisted dried reeds. Lenses are thick, wavy greenish glass, one lens is a "bulls-eye".

Ideal for small-minded, decrepit, elderly relatives who look at the world as it's still the 1580's.
