Often, I write an idea but no-one annotates it, and I don't know if anybody has read it. It would be nice to have something like a hitcounter on each idea.

       Yes, I remember voting on it, but not annotating.   

       That's true, [bris], server logs would be the way to go. As for view counts... I'd go for gross views, as it is a better indicator of actual use, like the number of people who use a train in a year.   

       The problem would be the tendency of people to ring up as many views as possible, to see how much they can dirty up an idea.
