It's as much a hovercraft as a pancake is a waffle.

Various hollywood blockbuster DVDs would be included (indicated possibly by a striking sexy looking MST3K logo in the bottom right-hand corner of the face of the DVD case) with "Mystery Science Theater 3000 mode" in which the cast of MST3K would appear in their normal black shilouettes at the bottom of the movie and provide their usual colorful commentary to provide added replayability to your DVD movies. The mode would be optional of course and you could turn it on and off as you choose.

Mystery Science Theater 3000 - what's that? http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0094517/
Now that I have found out I'm going to try and get it. [wagster, Mar 18 2006]

Commentaries from MST3K crew, $2.99 a pop http://www.rifftrax.com/
Michael J. Nelson was a head writer for MST3K (and also plays the MST3K character Mike Nelson in the second half of its lifetime.) He's occasionally joined by Kevin Murphy (Tom Servo) and Bill Corbetti (Crow). Pay, download MP3, sync it up, there you are. (No silhouettes, natch.) [jutta, Mar 23 2007]

Still waiting for 'Attack of the 50-foot tall woman' to come out on DVD.

The MST3K jokes don't write themselves. Would you be willing to pay extra for them? (In my case, the answer is probably "yes".) Would they still be funny if you could get them for, say, three different movies per week?
