Many businesses have huge, unused swards of lawn which they diligently water, fertilize and mow. These lawns could be used for fun (literal) field trips for the third grade set. Let it grow an extra week, then set the mower short and mow a complex maze into the lawn. Then have the kids play tag - but all must stay within the maze.

I would contend that those fancypants mazes in bath to which the links refer are too upscale to really represent the idea I put forth here.
