Pedal Wheels

Sometimes when pedalling into a corner, the bicycle pedal strikes the ground. Energy from the pedal is lost to the ground and the disorganization of your own matter may result when this happens.

Wheels of a rotating sort ought to be affixed to the ends of each pedal. This would reduce the amount of energy lost to the ground, distributed over a greater distance, as well as stabilize the bicycle.

A more ambitious schematic would see a chain drive connected to said modified pedal extending the length of the crank. This chain drive would then connect to the gear that the rotating pedal turns. This setup would result in a rotating gear arrangement that would have a rotating pedal turning a gear that is being rotated by a crank.

And this whole thing is spun by an even bigger crank.

       I don't understand the "more ambitious schematic" part.   

       I don't think this is really a good idea, unless maybe if the wheels had some springiness, otherwise you are just making the contact point of the pedal closer to the ground, which when in contact with the ground, causes the two main wheels to lose grip and possibly completely lose contact with the ground which is a bad thing.   

       Maybe you should just ride your bicycle without striking the pedals to the ground when cornering.   

       I think, other than having the choice to vote for or against an idea, there should be the option to do a question mark (?).

       I think it's not a bad idea at all
I've leaned into corners too sharply while pedaling and done a little catapult thing. To have wheels mounted on the outside of a spring loaded pedal might save some cycling injuries. (+)		   

       powering the wheels would be wasteful. All that added linkage would cause more drag than it would ever return to the bike when the pedal end was in contact with the ground.   

       Striking the ground with your pedal is a problem. I like your idea, but think it would just be better to just cap the end of the pedal with something. Cap it with that white stuff cutting boards are made of, or use titanium and make sparks!
