I propose a straw with a radiator attached, to cool the liquid down. The radiator would be either:
As a separate standing unit (made of silver with a (battery powered) fan in high-end models)
-or as an integral part.
The liquid goes through radiator and is cooled down.

Gets my vote just for the illustrations, though I was one of those who learned the hard way not to sip hot drinks through a regular straw. But you've really got to check your spelling more often, Ms. Holt. |

better yet, radiate heat OUT of a room temperature drink. Thermoelectic cooling straw placed in a room temperature beverage results in perfectly cooled refreshment my the time it hits your taste buds. |

I like the idea, and it sure would beat waiting for my beer to chill in the freezer.
On a side note [my-nep], has any one mentioned that you have illustrations spelled *illustartions* on your illustration page? |

Reminds my of going to restaurant with my family in the 70's. Dad, having a too-hot cup of black coffee would gather up silverware from the rest of us and let it sit in his coffee for a minute. Heavy silverware (especially butter knife handles) absorb heat quickly. |

It'd only be room temp if you took an infinatly long time to drink it. To have a less cooled down / warmed up drink, drink it faster. |
