Actually, could one not tile a wall with real
Scrabble tiles? I'm guessing there's a
square foot's worth of tiles in one game. |
| |
I like it too, but if I have to make all of the letters spell out words to install them It's going to cost you large. |
| |
Would you leave one space empty so you can slide the tiles around and make words? |
| |
How about large ceramic tiles that make up a Scrabble Board? Then you could actually play Scrabble on it with large wooden Scrabble tiles. |
| |
You can take it out of the oven now - it is fully halfbaked. [+] |

hope you don't mind if I actually do this. I love that fresh bread smell. mmmmm.. |
| |
Also needs "Triple Word Score" etc. tiles, and the basic blue/green board. What words would you spell out? |
| |
It would be nice in the kitchen if you place the tiles so that the word 'sink' is by the sink and has 'bin' going through it, fridge/milk, etc. |
| |
I like that addition [marklar]. |
| |
It would give rise to a new sub-specialty of interior decorators who are good at word games and can create tile patterns that fit into your space but also spell things. |
| |
Sadly my bathroom has just been tiled - otherwise Waddingtons would have had a phone call. |

I would like actual wooden tiles better. |
| |
I think this would decrease the property value of a property, especially if it had custom chosen words like some of the ones ling selected. |
| |
It's like a gold one, only not. Also, in English English, a tap is a faucet. |
| |
I thought this was going to be like a slide puzzle <link> that would be set in the floor of the bathroom. That way you could pass the time while you were sitting on the loo. I imagined playing by shifting the tiles with your feet. |
| |
[+] for a wonderful idea. |
| |
You could also have the floor be the scrabble board and have the tiles not be attached to it. (I think I might do this.) |
| |
[Maxwell] - not only are there not 144 tiles in a box, the tiles aren't even an inch on a side! |
| |
I wouldn't let that stop me, though. I bet someone could make a little arrangement with the manufacturer and buy up a mountain or two of the tiles and get cracking. To keep it affordable, do only one wall. |
