Before? Ew! Suspect this patch may go unscratched... |

Yeah, I think I would be interested in knowing what a pretty woman smells like before she uses a stick of Secret. Not many guys are willing to admit it but I am sure that most of us are curious. |

Like soap, one would hope - or do you suppose they wait to get all sweaty and then apply deodorant? |
|
| |
That said, I do remember something marketed as a "deo-perspirant" which seemed to create instant, if sweet-smelling, sweat. Didn't last long. |

I kinda like it...however, what's to stop them from using the smell of something that's not evenm part of the human anatomy, like maybe a rival's fouler-smelling deodorant? This is mud-flinging at its finest. |

//what a pretty woman smells like before she uses a stick of Secret//
I should say that, deodorant specifics apart, the majority of adult males will have a fair idea, without having to resort to advertising materials. |

The intention here was to provide more grist for the "you're ugly and you stink" self-esteem damage in advertising by extending the technique into (a) odour and (b) explicitly negative comparisons (as opposed to holding out interchangeable airbrushed "boys with breasts" as the minimum standard of pulchritude without any overt comment on the ordinariness of the consumer targeted). Heyho. |

Uhhh.. yeah.. what calum said. |

<innocently> So, [calum], any thoughts on the latest batch of Lynx commercials?
