Silly Flag

Because sometimes you feel like a nutter, sometimes you don't.

The proposed "Silly Flag" would be a simple binary field indicating whether or not an idea is, in fact, just silly.

Set upon creation of the idea (or non-idea, as the case might very well be), the Silly Flag would allow fellow 'bakers to read only that class of ideas in which they happen to be interested at the moment.

Feel like trading custard jokes today? Very well, Silly Flag on. In the mood for something a bit more practical? Off it goes.

Of course, this relies upon the submitting 'baker being perfectly honest with themselves, and violations would be unavoidable. But it may be worth a think.

<grumble grumble> wish [justaguy] would at least silly flag this kinda crap... </gg>

       Just kidding! [+]

Maybe some accounts could only post on the silly flag page. Like.. umm.. that guy!

       *Points at unsuspecting 'baker*

       !!!

       *fingers point back in unison*

       !?!?!

Mm...mm..mmmee too? Dammit Pickels! This is the last time I get inspiration from your ideas!

This would probably ruin the feel of the 'bakery. The fun is reading a serious idea, and people start making jokes.

I would suggest there aren't any non-silly ideas here.

I wouldn't go quite that far, but if a reader needs a flag to tell him that an idea is silly, something's wrong.

       Maybe a crutch icon?
