If most engine wear occurs during the first few revolutions after starting, how about an auxiliary electric oil pump that starts with the ignition, to ensure that there is oil pressure by the time the starter starts turning? It could run via a relay off the charge light on the dash. It would also be quite possible to do as an aftermarket accessory.

       Completely possible with off the shelf parts. This would be great for protecting the cam shaft and other vital parts.
