This game's fun to play when I'm bored - get 25 pennies, 10 nickels, 2 quarters, and 15 dimes per person. Maybe even one half dollar. You also need a desk and two chairs.

Take a quarter and do a standard coin flip. The person closest to a stapler gets to call. If there is no stapler, a best of 5 rock-paper-scissors match will decide.

The coin flip winner chooses if he wants to go first or not. The person who goes first takes a coin and slides it across the table. If it falls shorter than a hand length of the table edge, your opponent keeps your money, and takes his turn. If the coin doesn't make it halfway across the table, you get to retry your turn. If the coin goes within a hand length of the table edge, the money goes in the pot, but don't go again. If your coin goes over the table edge, your opponent keeps your money. If you hang the coin over the table, you win the entire pot! A very simple game. The first person to run out of money loses. You can either keep the money or split it.

       Doesn't really sound very fun.

I throw all my change in fountains.

Contracts, it's fun. Sometimes, I add ramps for the coins to fly off of, gaps, bumpers (like cups and books), and tunnels.

I can see this being fun. With the obstacles, you could call your shots, bank shots etc. Sort of like tabletop minigolf shuffleboard billiards.

I was hoping for an Olympic event where people caught in ruts would be goaded into doing something novel.

Good lord, I played this (or something decidedly similar, depending on who was in charge of the game) in school. I suspect my wizened old ancestors played it, too, with half crowns and groats.

       Yep, bunned this game.
