The World Wide Prophecy Cup
An organized 3 week prophet against prophet show down
  (+1)
(+1)
  [vote for,
against]

Every country sends its top teams of prophets according to a whole list of categories:
Short term prophecies
Long term prophecies
Religous/Spiritual
Political
Economical
Technological
Conflict

That is a sampling of the categories with sub categories where appropriate. The games take 3 weeks to bring to a completion. Like the olympics and the world cup countries are awarded medals according to their prophets.

Annotation:

"The list is quite extensive, the games take 3 weeks to bring to a completion."
Why, when I already know how it's going to turn out?

I predict this will all turn out badly.

I foresee a spiny, bony object with scales in your future...wait..it's clarifying...it is a fish dinner afterwards!

It would have to be convened by a Not-for-prophet organisation, or all of the results could be published in advance.

I just knew this idea would get the kind of reception it has.

"And there was an unforseen disaster at the Prophecy Cup this afternoon when the organisers had to proclaim a complete failure. Not one of the soothsayers' predictions had come true, despite the competition being extended by another 3 weeks."

PeterSilly, Oct 06 2003

       Dinner at Milliways, anyone?

       Nice one, [po]...
