Put away grandpa's gasmask when changing the Hoover bag! With the new generation machines, your vacuum cleaner automatically adds enough water to the collected detritus to ensure a solid, compacted brick of filth peels out of your bag, spam-style, rather than the usual Kansan dust-cloud twister! This
idea was spawned from hojotogo's cat puke collection collar, in many ways a more useful invention...

a filth brick does sound nice. maybe redesign it so the thing just barks to go out when it is full and then it can extrude the filth brick outside like a good dog. |

The Rainbow's by-product is a nasty semi-solid slurry of pet hair, carpet chunks, old food and other assorted yuck. I wouldn't classify the waste as a "Compacted Brick of Filth", however it is rather disgusting. |

I was concerned this was going to be some sort of terrorist plot involving creating a poisonous cloud from the waters behind the Hoover Dam. |

Before vacuum cleaning days, a traditional way of cleaning dusty wooden floors (which Australia was full of) was to save the tealeaves until you got a good collection, then throw the damp leaves on the floor & sweep them up. The dust stuck to the leaves. Now of course everyone drinks coffee & has carpets.. sigh. |

A common way of reducing dust in the air while (frinstance) smoothing plastered walls or using power wood-working tools is to spray the room with water from a plant mister. |
