To ease the qualms of under aged vegetarians, (animal) cookies shaped like artichokes, asparagus, beets, broccoli…potatoes, radishes and spinach could be munched out of small cardboard boxes. Vegan cannibals could consume swedes.

Lard - not suitable for 'weirdy vegetarians' http://www.blmb.freeserve.co.uk/
.. but you cannot cook proper chips without it... [po, Oct 04 2004, last modified Oct 21 2004]

This exists in the U.S. (or at least it used to). Crackers in the shape of garden vegetables, but I can't find them, or think of what they're called. Pretty sure they have / had lard in 'em, too...

Serves me right for picking such an easy idea.

don't believe him Farmer, make him prove it. lard in them would make them inedible for vegetarians

Yeah, but they don't say they're vegetarian. They just kind of imply that they're vegetably. It's moot anyway, since I can't find the things.

FJ wants them for vegetarians - nur nur nur. :)

Vegetable cookies sound like a great idea. And whynot cookies wiith vegetable flavors, sweetened of course. Like carrot cookies or sweet pepper cookies. And the are plenty of vegan oils available to cook with. Lard is long out! Expeller Pressed Oils!

Not the same thing at all, but the Japanese have seaweed cookies that are something else again in terms of taste sensations.
