Vibra-Watch

I have dozens of watches that have the tinny hourly chimes. Their alarms are not much of an improvement either... Especially when I have to get up early in the morn; a time when an unholy war wouldn't get a stir out of me.

Also, I have seen a few models of talking watches and clocks that can tell the time when the correct button is pressed; products like these are a great boon for our blind brethren.

This is where I think a watch that VIBRATES as well as sounds its bleeps will help. Strong vibrators are already being implemented in the numerous models of cellular phones; so there is no reason why they can't be used in wristwatches also.

For the audibly challenged, the Vibra-Watch can serve the functions of Alarm, Countdown Timer (time-up alarm) and Hourly Chime.

For the Nothing-in-the-world-can-wake-me-up people, it *should* serve as an alarm more effectively. It may also liven up the last minute dreams a li'l bit!

And for the I-ironicaly-dont-have-the-time-to-see-the-time people, it serves as the shaking cuckoo bird that tells them they are on the top of the hour in a more substantial manner.

       Oh no!!! Hold on a minute! That site disclaims the propensity of their watch to be used as a Wake-Up alarm! Seems like I stumbled on the right path after all! No more plans of deleting the idea!

       I remember seeing a $200,000 Parmagiani Fleurier minute repeater that worked on the same principle. A classically styled quartz watch such as you describe would be able to achive the same for about $20.   

       1,000,000% saving? Croissant!
