"Guess that stream" for salmon

I was thinking of making a game show for salmon, where they could compete to 'guess that stream', from all the places salmon go.

Which brought me on designer salmon streams, one could have aniseed flavouring going into the water, which would elderly salmon get home, as presumably their sense of smell dulls over time?

For rich, but elderly, salmon it would probably be best to bring the stream water to them, then they could have a good reminisce about "river beds"* I have know" and how alevin are very bad mannered, not like in the old days.

* I was going to type "sandy bottoms", but that's just asking for trouble.

What's that hill? What_27s_20That_20Hill_3f
If fish lived on hills, this would be the same idea [hippo, Apr 29 2016]

There's something fishy about this idea.

It flies in the face of common sense. We don't think you're going to have any reel success ... but go on, wade in. The net result may be a new line in piscine cuisine. Go on, push the boat out. Don't be afraid to float your idea ... all you need is a hook to hang it on.

Oy! Always with the fish puns already. You're no batter than the rest of them.

Don't listen to the naysayers - if the salmon don't initially go where they should, you can beat them with fish sticks.

// simply stare blankly ahead, not knowing the answer to most of the places, other than the one stream they feel at “home”. //

So, just like commuters on the Northern Line, then ?

What do they do? Do they just filet there?

I wonder what spawned this carp idea?

The internet is officially full. There's a website called "Fishpuns.com" (link)

This would be very easy for eels ("Wait, I know this one ... is it the Sargasso Sea?")

Need I mention the Large Halibut Collider again? Linky.

Not to not mention squamous and rugose..

Yes, they're hysterically funny, especially the one where they're moving the piano ...
