       It's an interesting idea, but I'd prefer actual solar-powered powered flight, for which there might be interesting applications for long-term low-flying craft. Gliders generally have to land sooner or later.   

       There are risks in having large numbers of unmanned craft: how do you keep them away from airports, airplanes, buildings, wildlife sanctuaries, people filming historical movies, etc?
