For those who really need to get up, I propose an adrenalin dart based alarm clock, which fires a small make-you-very-alert dart into you (or your sleeping partner) ensuring that you immediately spring in to action.

Alarm goes off. Adrenalin kicks in. Heart conks out. Passes out again.

[normzone] grabs "snooze" dart, stabs self, mumbles "just five more minutes", and rolls over.

[bungston] - perhaps this is an opportunity to sell patented BungCo hardened eye masks, specifically to encourage sound sleep, and dart-eye juxtaposition incidents.

Incidence of heart attack is high just after awaking. This system might not help.
