Anti-Onion-Spray

Simple. When you put lemon juice on a onion, it no longer tears your eyes. (Don't know exactly how, perhaps something to do with the acidity of the lemon) Well here's the idea. Canned, sprayable lemon juice to spray on onions while cutting them?

Perhaps different flavoured versions of it (Extract the acidic compound and use it alone and mix it with flavour). Lemon, garlic, bubble gum, whatever. Would also prove as an alternative method to eating fish and chips, and/or veal.

Hmmm? [Salted Nuts, Oct 17 2004]

How about a knife with a built in spray button?

To avoid crying first spray your eyes with citric acid.

[FarmerJohn], I'm a hetersexual male, but I could damn well marry you for saying that. Hilarious.
[+] for the idea. Cheers, [hackermaster]. (Although, the bubble-gum-flavored-onion-lemon-spray notion kind of turns my stomach . . . )

What would happen if you sprayed Onion Spray [link] and Anti-Onion-Spray? Could this be some sort of untapped energy source similar to the much ballyhooed matter / anti-matter theory?

I like the knife with spray button idea myself. Or you could have very small holes in the knife and when you press a button while cutting the onion, citric acid is secreted into the onion. You could have cartridges that pop into the handle of the knife with different flavors and everything.
