Ok, this isn't only my idea, it was developed as a group exercise about 3 years ago, but since I just found this site, I thought I should share it.

Basically it's for people in hot humid climates, such as Singapore, Melbourne etc. You keep the bag in your fridge or freezer (it doesn't go solid because the "BlueGel" has a freezing point below -20 degrees C).

When you get home from a busy day, after a trip home on cramped public transport, grab you Cold Bag, jump in, and blob out on the couch. nice.

Cold therapy blanket http://www.no-odor....reezeze/blanket.htm
Gel-pack material 16 inches wide, in lengths up to 300 feet. You could fashion a cold bag out of this stuff [bristolz, Dec 14 2001, last modified Oct 04 2004]

I love it, m'self. Would need some partial insulation, as even if it just got to freezing it'd be painful. I want one...

It's so hot in New York right now that I don't care if I get frostbitten from your contraption. Just get it over here!

I always wanted one of the blankets they used in "Flatliners" <I think that was the name...> Not only did it cool you down, but it lit up neon blue in the process...

Wonder if this could be adapted somehow to prevent laptop scorch?
