An artificially intelligent listener for people who complain too much
Just rig up a good internet chatterbot to listen to your complaints and offer plentiful, if useless, advice. This should help prevent complainers, like me, from driving away all their friends.
Yeah, there is Eliza. But this would actually be helpful.
"Eliza: Why do you say I bake your idea? " [waugsqueke, Oct 04 2004]
||Most of the MSN over-40 chat sites fulfill this description. At least the ones I used to host.
||<eliza>"How does it make you feel when you say ' should help prevent complainers, like me, from driving away all their friends?''"</eliza>
||"Eliza: How long have you been not interested in you?"
||I'd prefer to see a feedback type device that would give complainers an electrical shock.
||<completely off topic, sorry> I just did
an interesting experiment with Eliza. If
you open her in two browser windows,
and copy her answer from one window
into your input in the other, she gets all
recursive. As in:
You: Why do you tell me you were not a
girl just now just now just now just
Eliza: Oh, i tell you i was not a girl just
now just now just now just now.
