This idea involves stuffing a glove and forming it into a gesture that represents a word or meaning e.g. the hand gesture that represents OK or everything is fine is a ‘thumbs up’ gesture. Different types of gloves could be used e.g. white and lacy, a knuckleduster. Some suggestions for the gestures could be the ‘one fingered salute’ meaning ‘go away’, two hands in a shaking posture meaning ‘let’s be friends’ or two hands with both thumbs and forefinger forming a heart shape meaning ‘be my valentine’. This service could be run via the post, where people would request a ‘hand gesture’ to be sent to the person they wish to convey the message to. It could be marketed along the lines that a ‘hand gesture’ would have more impact that just a card.

18 ideas in a week is enough already [numbo].

       I quite agree.

If the ratio of bad to good was a bit better than 17:1, I wouldn't mind.

I'm unclear as to why the number of previous ideas from the same person, even if they were overwhelmingly boned, renders this one unworthy of consideration.

I'm bunning it, because there is someone I would pay to send a middle finger hand to right now.

danielo, Sep 21 2007

I'm not boning it because of the number, I'm boning it because because it's a porrly thought-out idea, as indicated by the fact that he has posted so many ideas he has had no time to devote to thinking about any of them. I don't think it's a good idea, and I think it's because he's posting too rapidly.

I don't think it's any more poorly thought out than multiple others on the HB. I like it because it paints a picture in my mind, that the more technical ideas don't... link to my similar idea.

dentworth, Sep 22 2007

I'm not sure why my idea is poorly thought out. It explains the essence of the idea and only the essence. Do you want a business plan from me?

I admit quality rather than quantity is a good thing, but I'm on a learning curve and with hindsight some of my ideas are, shall we say, not going to rock the boat to say the least.

What makes you think I am a he, 21 Quest?

What makes you think, 21 Quest, that I am posting too rapidly with not much thought given to them. I might have written my ideas over time, collected them up and submitted them to this group all at once.

You've assumed too many things, I think 21 Quest.

NumboJumbo, Sep 25 2007

It's possible that I've over-assumed. Sorry 'bout the "he" crack, I meant to say "he/she" like I usually do, that was an honest mistake.

       21 Quest. Apology accepted.

BTW, this idea was based on a service I saw once where a website was selling greetings cards with angry messages. If you didn't like someone, then you could send them a card with a non too savoury message on it. This idea is just an extension to that concept and possibly might have more of an impact to the recipient - possibly.
