Satellite radio has been in the news recently, and it's popularity is growing due to terrain coverage and lack of regulation.

I happen to enjoy it primarily for access to cable news when I'm driving. However, I note that I already pay in a different way for all the same content, by paying for cable TV.

Build your own with a system consisting off:

1) Cell phone over which you will listen to it. 2) Speaker phone that will stay at home, next to TV/Radio 3) A DTMF remote, which is detailed in a linked idea.

Whenever you'd like to listen to anything that's on TV or radio at home, simply call the phone that is next to TV or Radio and is set to auto-answer.

Then enter the touch tone commands to listen to the station you'd like to listen to.
