For days when you have to stay inside while the weather is nice outside, transducers mounted on the windows and sync'd LED lights provide a realistic thunder and lightning storm so you don't resent being indoors.

I've seen some sci-fi movies, and read several books, with
artifical windows, but I realize this isn't that. How would it
simulate cloud cover? it's not going to be convincing if it's
making lightning flashes and thunder sounds with bright sunny
light shining through. LCD tinting, maybe? Aerogel to simulate

Presumably the X-trEme package includes realistic simlation of a limb from next doors' huge old oak tree crashing through your roof and destroying the front bedroom? Should be doable with some explosive charges wired to the control box, and an inflatable tree trunk actuated by a compressed air cylinder would make it so much more realistic. Also a Van de Graaff generator could be included to send disabling shocks down the telephone wires to fry your computer. |
