I would argue that Starbuck's success (getting, for instance, even New Yorkers to pay $3 extra and wait ten minutes more for a 50¢ cup of coffee) is entirely due to the fact that your order is filled exactly the same way in any outlet you go into, a guarantee of coffee predictability that people will gladly pay a premium for. |

At Tim Horton's you have a machine that measures the amount of cream or sugar for each size. We pour milk though, so that's a bit more variable. |
