A Faraday cage (ie: wire mesh) keeps your hand from being broiled while a low-intensity microwave beam is emitted from the palm and inner-finger areas.

An array of very lightweight, but long teaspoons (why are they never coffee spoons?) tossed out of the window on the ISS, they drop down though the atmosphere, and transfer that heat into the coffee cup by falling in it. Sou'wester provided.

Or a microwavable glove with a heat reservoir in the palm. The part of glove in contact with your hand would not heat up quite so much.

I was thinking a Faraday cage glove mounted in the microwave door so you could safely reach in and stir or reposition your food while the microwave was running.
