Take this a step further - other regular height trains on the course are narrower, with normal wheels, and use a track set just inside the inside and outside rails of the "monster" track. They can whiz by each other vertically! |

Spectators would have to be protected somehow. The final show would be a train jump. The arena would be placed at the end of a long straight downhill track. 3 or 4 miles. The loco's would get as much speed as possible and then hit a ramp in order to clear wrecked train cars. |

You're aware of what steam explosions do to you, right? You do *not* want to die like Casey Jones, and I imagine the fee-paying public will be averse, too. Of course, if you used electric locos, I guess you would cut out the risk of explosions. |
